Dr. McClemont approaches therapy with compassion, collaboration, and honest reflection to create a non-judgmental space for self-discovery and development. She is experienced in CBT, DBT, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She has trained across multiple settings, including private practices, community mental health centers, hospitals, and schools. Prior to joining MindWell NYC, Dr. McClemont completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Center for Anxiety (Manhattan) where she provided evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals and families. She gained extensive experience treating various anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, and misophonia.
Dr. McClemont’s research focuses on cognitive-behavioral interventions for neurodiverse youth, especially those with ADHD and ASD. Dr. McClemont enjoys spreading awareness of neurodiversity through psychology podcasts, presentations, and publications. Dr. McClemont also serves as an adjunct professor in psychological assessment at the University at Buffalo. Dr. McClemont earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology and Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo and her B.A. in Psychology from Binghamton University.
