Arielle Bailkin, LCSW

Arielle Bailkin, LCSW, is an incoming licensed clinical social worker at MindWell NYC. She specializes in working with adults and adolescents experiencing difficulty regulating emotions, anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, eating disorders, and challenges related to chronic and autoimmune illness. Ms. Bailkin takes a warm, direct, and collaborative approach to therapy, integrating evidence-based practices to support clients in building meaningful and sustainable lives. She offers both individual cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family therapy, and has extensive experience leading dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) groups.

Ms. Bailkin has received intensive training in DBT through Behavioral Tech and incorporates additional evidence-based modalities, including CBT and Family-Based Therapy (FBT). She is also trained in DBT-Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE) for trauma. Ms. Bailkin has particular expertise in treating eating disorders and has worked in intensive outpatient settings providing individual, family, and group therapy. She is a neurodiversity-affirming therapist and integrates neuroaffirming practices into her clinical work, fostering a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore emotions, relationships, and patterns with authenticity and self-compassion.

Ms. Bailkin has trained across diverse clinical settings, including private practice, schools, and community mental health organizations. Prior to joining MindWell NYC, she provided therapy at the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services and at the Aurora Center, where she worked with clients struggling with eating disorders. Her clinical training included work at the Institute for Community Living (ICL), where she provided care to both children and adults in a hybrid setting, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support.

Ms. Bailkin earned her Master’s in Social Work from the NYU Silver School of Social Work and her B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature from Franklin & Marshall College.  She is committed to building genuine therapeutic relationships and brings a thoughtful, person-centered approach to each session, honoring the unique needs and goals of every client.
