Prior to joining MindWell NYC, Dr. Misrok completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she specialized in DBT, treating clients through a Linehan Board Certified (DBT-LBC™) comprehensive DBT program and an intensive outpatient DBT program. Dr. Misrok completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, N.J. She received extensive training in comprehensive DBT, worked within both adult and adolescent Linehan Board Certified (DBT-LBC™) DBT programs, attended advanced training workshops in trauma-focused interventions, and delivered evidence-based treatment to clients across the lifespan in outpatient and partial hospital settings.
Dr. Misrok completed additional clinical externship placements at Mount Sinai Hospital’s Eating and Weight Disorders Program (EWDP), where she received specialized training in Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E) and Family Based Treatment (FBT), as well as NorthWell Health’s Behavioral Health College Partnership (BHCP) at Zucker Hillside Hospital, where she delivered short-term CBT and DBT interventions on a young adult inpatient unit.
Dr. Misrok prioritizes developing a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. Her treatment approach emphasizes warmth, collaboration, curiosity, humor, and radical genuineness. She is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to help her clients identify and work towards their life worth living goals.
Dr. Misrok earned her Psy.D. in clinical and school psychology and her M.A. in psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She earned her B.A. in psychology and educational studies from Dickinson College.
