Gay Men's Support Group Details

Group members have the opportunity to improve interpersonal and coping skills, practice new communication techniques in a safe environment, share their experiences of struggles common to members of the LGBTQIA+ community, obtain feedback from other group members who are facing similar issues, boost self-confidence, and experience relief from emotional distress through the process of connecting with others.

This group is appropriate for gay men age 21+. The group facilitator identifies as a gay man. This group serves as a supplement to concurrent individual psychotherapy.

About Dr. Brad Stevens

Dr. Brad Stevens, Ph.D.

Dr. Brad Stevens is a licensed clinical psychologist at MindWell NYC. He provides relationally-oriented cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to adults and adolescents. Dr. Stevens is trained in cognitive-behavioral, experiential, and attachment-based approaches to support individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and/or relationship difficulties. He is passionate about providing care to members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and he offers individual and group psychotherapy.

MindWell NYC does not bill health insurance directly. We are happy to provide you with statements at the end of the month which can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement as per your plan.
